Timeless Treasures 2010 Opportunity Quilt

Radiant Hope

Lorraine Price who was visiting from McMechen, West Virginia was the winner of Radiant Hope, our Opportunity Quilt.  She was thrilled to have won this special quilt and is especially touched by the guild’s generosity and support of the Cancer Care Center of Brevard.  Lorraine is a Breast Cancer Survivor. She was diagnosed in 2007 and plans to have the quilt displayed at the Mammogram Center in Wheeling, West Virginia where she received her treatment.

This is our fund raising quilt.  Cancer Care Center of Brevard was chosen to receive all proceeds from the raffle of this Opportunity Quilt.  Evelyn Foster of the Cancer Care Center received a check for $8000.00 from Seaside Piecemakers quilt show co-chairmen, Kathy Oas and Laurel Merrill.

This quilt was created and made by members of Seaside Piecemakers.  It was also quilted by one of our members.   Radiant Hope won a 2nd place award in the Jacksonville quilt show Quilt Fest.

As a guild, we feel privileged to have this opportunity to support our community.
