200. Pieced - single quilt maker
100 % pieced.
300. Appliqué, Hand - single quilt maker
Appliqué must be the dominant technique.
400. Appliqué, Machine - single quilt maker
Appliqué must be the dominant technique.
500. Mixed Techniques - single quilt maker
Two or more techniques including, but not limited to appliqué, piecing, trapunto, and the use of other media such as machine or hand embroidery and surface design.
600. Miniature – single quilt maker
Quilt must be a small version of a full sized quilt. Maximum block size is four inches. Quilt cannot exceed 96” in perimeter.
700. Original Design/Pictorial - single quilt maker
Quilter’s original design which represents a recognizable image of a person, place, or thing; any technique; must be 3 layers and quilted.
800. Original Design/Abstract - single quilt maker
Quilter’s original nonrepresentational design utilizing any technique; must be 3 layers and quilted.
900. Wearable Art - single artist
Garment must be wearable and must include techniques including, but not limited to piecing, appliqué, thread work, surface embellishment, etc.
1000. Other – single or collaborative quilt maker(s)
A quilt where one special technique is predominantly used to develop the design of the top such as whole cloth, cathedral window, crazy quilt, embroidered, yoyo, biscuit & redwork.
1100. Collaborative, Appliqué
Quilt, predominately appliqué, completed by two or more individuals
1200. Collaborative, Pieced
Quilt predominately pieced, completed by two or more individuals.
